Tom is a 30 plus year veteran in Property and Casualty Insurance and a well known expert in Marine and Aviation Insurance.

After earning a bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Denver, he began his insurance career as an underwriter in the marine and aviation department of INA (now ACE) from 1974 to 1977 and MOAC from 1977 to 1979 and has had enormous experience in those areas throughout his career including major cargo and passenger airline brokerage as well as extensive experience in the management of major claims administration including Fine Air, DC-8 Flight 101 and the Chalk's Ocean Airways flight off South Beach, Florida.

He was Vice-President of Alexander & Alexander in Miami from 1979 to 1989 where he continued to develop his extensive Commercial Lines Risk Management, Marine and Aviation expertise. He was Senior Vice-President and Office Manager of Sedgwick James in Miami as a specialist in Cruise Line and Aviation programs.

Tom established the Southeast Insurance Group in September of 1990 and is directly and personally involved in the daily administration of the firm, as well as all major accounts.
